Al parecer, la Federación Rusa está negociando con Djibouti el acceso de sus buques militares a las instalaciones de este país pero lo que, sin duda, va a llamar mucho la atención es que el Ministerio de defensa ruso va a alquilar durante varios años un aeropuerto en el país donde desplegará aviones pesados-como los cisternas Ilyushin Il-78 o los transportes Il-76-por lo que necesitará reformar las instalaciones cosa que se llevaría a cabo a cuenta del presupuesto de defensa ruso y, probablemente, por empresas rusas especializadas .




Por lo tanto, hablamos del establecimiento de bases rusas en Djibouti de todas todas y esta semana habrá más sorpresas en el capítulo "bases en el extranjero".




Lo que es difícil de valorar es que aeropuerto es el potencialmente alquilable por los rusos.

  1. No sé cómo suele ser la filosofía rusa en estas cuestiones, si prefieren estar "integrados" en un gran aeropuerto para aprovechar infraestructuras y facilidad para husmear, o prefieren estar un poco más a su bola.

    He curioseado un rato por GoogleMaps y opciones no les faltan. Dos aeropuertos con pinta de abandonados y pista en aparente buen estado en las proximidades de la capital (aparte del oficial), y uno más en la costa norte. Supongo que tener la orilla al lado facilita y abarata transportes. No quisiera ser yo el soldado ruso que destinen aquí, la verdad.
